Did they lie about you when you left?

i was reading something bout bashing the org unfairly...i disagree with doing it to a degree but did you get an unfair bashing by jws after you left?

i was accused of marrying a sister (who i helped to leave at the same time as me), she was twice my senoir and had sons the same age as me...pure lies and gossip.

and i was accused of smoking some drug, and thats why i disassed.

Thank Mouthy!..My daughter is 43 this year and her and my other daughter(45) are having a sleepover tonight!..They are both pretty upset about their dad...The older ones hubby is out of town a lot so they are having a night to cry and discuss the past!..Including being a JW....and my roller skating with another man! .wish I was there!....They love their Dad to death...but they have many sad memories too. Especially the JW condeming from him...Despite that..they have both turned out wonderful..Living their lives as "Worldly people" and enjoying it! But there will always be that hidden pain...I can see it.

They still run into witnesses they knew and many of them are no longer witnesses..

ps...Hubby finally got a visit from a "Brother"..made all kinds of excuses for not coming sooner.and then apologized many times. Such a nice man!..Too bad...

it's good to be back after a cancer scare i recently had.

i found a fast growing tumor on my back.

I love goodnews stories from cancer patients!..But be sure you go back for all your check-ups..and look up all you can on the internet!..knowledge is the best defense against cancer!...Hubby learned too late... Best of luck to you!

One of my grown daughters and I were talking the other day. We were discussing a few XJW sites. Then we were talking about when I left the JW's..She said she thought I got disfellowshipped for roller skating with another man!!!!

I just looked at her in amazement!

I disassociated myself!..I had done nothing other than get fed up with them!..Plus I just gave up trying to believe their teachings!..I just couldn't believe what they said.

Quick story..I used to take the kids (3) roller skating about 1 or 2 times a week when I was preparing to leave the JW's..(I didn't know it then.)I used to be in charge (Lucky me)of picking up several other witnesses kids also! My 3 kids and I skipped a meeting and went skating one night. There were a lot of other witnesses there because it was a hangout for witnesses.Most were from a different congregation so they had a different meeting night. The kids loved it and I got some excercise. They would even clean the floors sometimes or rent the skates out so they could get in free. Money was tight. So I am an innocent JW .Didn't drink..curse..or smoke . Always attended and actively participated in the meetings. I met mine and the kids met their goals. But I was starting to withdraw. We were skating with a lot of the blacks in our congregation and many whites in our congregation had approached us and said it wasn't right. We could associate with them in the hall but we shouldn't out in public!!!! One night whn we rturnned from skating my MIL was waiting outside my door with a bible in her hand reading scriptures about how I was going against the bible!..??? Her son was a JW and he hardly ever went to the meetings..I don't remember her attacking him?..Anyway..I would NEVER skate with another man.(Most of them were JW's also. ).A good witness just didn't do that!.I wouldn't even dance with another man at weddings!. NO! NO! But the kids had a ball..

I figured it was keeping them out of trouble. And I enjoyed the excercise and (Worldly)music!

So I can't imagine where in the world she got that from!..I told her that isn't even a dsfellowshipping offense!

I am still in shock that my daughter has had this in her head for at least 20 years! I have no idea where she got that idea..Course we did live next to my JW MIL ..We moved shortly after she met me in the driveway.She decided to quit going to the hall for a while also!..Couldn't see fit to go when she was mad at me she said.Couldn't approach Jehovah's alter when she had anger in her heart!...So after that..one of my friends was disfellowshipped and I decided I had enough of the coo coo's nest! I wrote my letter and never went back!

Afer that they moved also.They moved to the country and both her and her hubby started going. They loved it there.

Now my MIL rejoices in telling my hubby how happy they will all be. Her..his deceased dad ... his sister and brother in law and him ... after the resurrection. (Excluding me and his kids!) And how happy they will all be in "Paradise"....(Excluding me and the kids) So I just grit my teeth and bear it.

Then I go kick a dog!.....(Just kidding)

Gabby Snoozy...This is so long..I bet no one reads it!... I wouldn't.....

how many of you out there know a witness who is just plain evil?.

of course, we have all talked about the mean ones, and even some nice sincere witnesses too.

i am careful not to say all witnesses are good or all are bad.

well hospice came today and we discussed many things.

one of them was a 'pastor of your choice".

Well..I sure like the part about "Being a Bit*h!"..I will probably turn into one very soon!

Jerry..and Wednesday...I just can't understand how they can do this!..They ued to have so many articles in their magazines about helping others in need!..And when they are sick..they turn their back on them? I really am shocked. When I went to the hall many years ago..back in the 50's and 60's..calling on those sick were very important. We would clean their house..run errands..watch the kids..

I remember one lady that went blind. We all took turns staying with her. We broke it up in half days and nights..Then one of her non JW relatives came into the picture and moved her into a nursing home..She died not too long after that. She wanted to stay in her home so bad. But we looked after the sick. And comforted the grieving.

So I really am surprised. I can not believe they haven't come here yet.

We left hubby and his Mom and her JW friend alone for a while..I knew they would want to talk religion. He told me later that the other lady said a prayer..he said she covered her head!..They also convinced him that Jehovah forgives.And he would be OK. He told some one a long time ago... when he was inactive... that he "Used to be a JW". So he thinks Jehovah doesn't like him any more.He thought that was the "unforgivable sin". And that is why the Brothers aren't coming to see him...Jehovah is punishing him..He really believes that!

I considered asking the Social worker about counseling for me....but I'm afraid once I get started........

Scully...I am glad you mentioned that post..I followed along for a while...hoping someone could give you the information. I was glad it worked out OK.

Listen to this....that was the day my JW sister and brother in law and my JW mother in law came to visit hubby. We had been talking about how the "Brothers" hadn't been to visit hubby. Then I remembered that post and told them about it!..They couldn't believe it!..I couldn't rub it in enough times!..The witnesses neglecting their own..and the witnesses not being available in an emergency!...I loved every minute of rubbing it in!.

Then they had the nerve to later tell my grown daughter that the reason she "Fell away" was because she didn't have two parents raising her in the "Truth"..(I was the only one going then)..but I am sure they meant later when I quit and hubby started occassionly going to please his parents.What they don't know I know is that their oldest son is inactive and the younger son has bee disfellowshipped twice! They had a lot of room to talk didn't they.

Well my daughter quickly clarified her position!..Said she was Catholic now and VERY happy in her religion!..So no more preaching to her!...What a good girl!

My other daughter came over today so I could go to the store..and she said she found a XJW chatroom. I don't know which one though. I am going to give her the links I have..

Heaven...what you describe is so much like what the booklet they gave me describes. l was with both my parents when they died. I wish I had this booklet then. It would have made it so much easier! They used that suction thing on my Dad. If I knew what I know now..that would ever have happened. It was torture to him. Hubby wants to stay home if at all possible. His Dad (Bone Cancer) actually got violent and his Mom couldn't control him the last 2 weeks. She and hubby ended up putting him in a nursing home for two weeks before he passed away. He was calling her an Evil Woman!...he didn't want her by him. He was a very smart man!

Gotta try and get hubby up. He just wants to dissapear in is own little world today. Maybe he will end up calling me an Evil Woman" too.

Well I have been waiting and waiting for the witnesses to come and visit my JW hubby.(He has terminal cancer) They have come one time since Sept. His JW Mom has contacted them..his JW sister and brother in law have contacted them..he has contacted them and now his hospice pastor is trying to contact them..They sure like to play hide and seek .Keep making promises but nver show..what happened to all the love they profess to have for their members? I thought they were supposed to be "Servants?". sigh.................Oh well!

Why does the WTS say Jehovah will Judge?

why does wts keep printing in their literature that jehovah will judge when in the gosple of john it clearly states that christ will judge, and that judging was given to the son by the father?

"for the father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the son," john 5:22

That may all be true..but they still have to say Jesus name every time you pray!.."Through your son Jesus Christ..amen"....Right?.

Maybe he was upset because he wasn't invited to "Rutherford's Mansion" and maybe he didn't get to ride in Rutherford's Cadillac!

Or maybe he saw Rutherford using the people to get what Rutherford wanted!....I think Rutherford was a lot smarter and a lot trickier than peole gave him credit for!..He had a nice game going! Until his death...

I was wondering too if it was an Overseer or Circuit servant or such.. Are they reimbursed for mileage?...That would make a big difference! When I was working and we had to go to a meeting...we would be reimbursed for mileage..We could sue the company if we had a wreck going to or from the meeting!

Just a thought!..Maybe someone found copies of the vouchers?..
